Thomas Beatie — a.k.a. the “pregnant man” — gave birth to a baby girl on Friday in Oregon, ABC News reports.

Beatie, 34, who was born a woman, had his breasts surgically removed and legally changed his gender from female to male, he revealed on The Oprah Winfrey Show in April.

Although he took hormones and lived as a man, he said he kept his female sex organs in hopes to get pregnant one day.

He said his pregnancy was a “human desire” and that as a person he has “the right to have my own biological child.”

Being pregnant, said Beatie, did not make him feel more feminine.

“It doesn’t make me want to go and shave my legs or something,” he told Winfrey. “I’m a man, I just happen to be a pregnant man.”

The most important message, said Beatie: “Different is normal and love makes a family. And that’s all that matters.”

He is currently at work on a memoir, Love Makes a Family: A Memoir of Hardship, Healing and an Extraordinary Pregnancy, due in September.

Casino mogul and UFC co-owner Lorenzo Fertitta 

This may or may not be news to people in the mixed martial arts world, but from a business perspective, UFC President Dana White believes he has secured an amazing business talent who will help expand and navigate the on going success of the UFC.

Lorenzo Fertitta an original financer of the 2001 Zuffa purchased UFC, happens to run the billion dollar empire Station Casinos in Las Vegas. He has been a behind the scenes fixture in the UFC for quite some time, and as a majority owner of the brand it was announced today that he will now put full concentrated effort in day to day operations of the UFC.

Fertitta plans to continue global development in other untapped markets, spreading marketing, promotions and live events across the globe, in addition to getting the sport sanctioned in key markets (such as New York city).

Dana White believes this is a historic day for the UFC’s rapid fanbase growth, however many were speculating otherwise of a gigantic announcement than today’s news.

Angelina Jolie is more powerful than beau Brad Pitt, according to Forbes‘ annual Power List, which ranks celebrities on money and fame.

Oprah Winfrey topped the the list for the second year in a row with a media empire that earned her $275 million.

Pitt’s ex Jennifer Aniston came in at No. 17.

Notable newcomers included Hills star Lauren Conrad (#97), Sex and the City’s Sarah Jessica Parker (#72), singer/designer Gwen Stefani (#63) and Tina Fey (#99).

Newlyweds Beyonce and Jay-Z ranked No. 4 and No. 7 respectively. (See the complete list below.)

Well I predicted in my little commentary yesterday that Lil’ Wayne’s new album, Tha Carter III would sell 1.2 million records in the  first week.  It turns out he may or may not be headed towards that number.  On the first day alone, the album sold 423,000 copies, which is about 14k less than Kanye West’s Graduation first day sales.  But the album has early projections to sell between 850-950,000 copies, which would easily beat Mariah Carey’s E=MC²  first week sales of 443,000.  I say Weezy is gonna hit that 1.2 still!!!
